Sanguine Therapy – Terms and Conditions
Contract:
· If you decide you want to work with me, we will enter into a signed agreement using a contract which will include some of the information set out below.
Confidentiality:
· Information shared during therapy is generally confidential and not disclosed to third parties. Exceptions can occur in certain situations and disclosure may be necessary to comply with legal obligations or the ethical guidelines of my professional registration body the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and General Hypnotherapy Register (GHSC/GHR). For example, if a client poses a danger to themselves or others including or if there are safeguarding concerns relating to a child or vulnerable adult. Other exceptions may relate to the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (as amended), Terrorism Act 2006 (as amended) and Money Laundering Regulations 2007 or other unlawful acts.
Contraindications and scope of service:
· It is important as a therapist that I operate within my sphere of competence. During our 20 minute initial chat we can explore this further. Some medical conditions may require consent or communication with your GP.
Recordings:
· Unauthorised recording of the therapy session is not allowed. If a session is to be recorded, permission will be sought. Recordings will only be sought and shared with you to aid the therapeutic process.
Fee structure:
· Session one – 90 minutes - £80
· Further sessions – 60 minutes - £60
· One-time introduction to relaxation, mindfulness and hypnosis – 90 minutes - £100 – you will receive a recording and resources to take away.
· There are discounts for block booking the first four sessions after the introductory call and for reviews/check-ins.
Payment terms:
· Sessions should be paid for no less than 24 hours in advance. Clients will receive an invoice no less than 48 hours before session commencement. If a client chooses to withdraw from therapy, fees paid in advance cannot be refunded if less than 24 hours’ notice is given. No further fees will be incurred by the client
· Payment should be made by bank transfer. Cheques or cash are not accepted. If payment is not received the session will not go ahead.
· Participants will be charged standard fees by invoice if less than 24 hours’ notice is given of cancellation.
Cancellation, no-show and late policies:
· When booking an appointment, you are reserving time in my schedule, dedicated to you. I request that you respect my time and I will do the same for my clients.
· At least 24 hours’ notice is required to avoid incurring charges in the event of cancellation or if you need to rearrange an appointment.
· I reserve the right to terminate my services to a client who persistently cancels at short notice, attends late or does not attend at all.
· It is the client's responsibility to remember and attend appointments in order not to incur cancellation fees.
· If you attend an appointment later than the agreed time I reserve the right to finish at the arranged specified time with no change in fee.

Data protection:
· Please refer to my Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy to understand more about how and why your data is used and stored. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and abide by their code of practice.
Website Use and Intellectual Property:
Acceptable use:
· Altering or amending website content, posting malicious content or engaging in unauthorised data collection is not allowed.
Copyright:
· Copyright ownership of the website content remains the property of Sanguine Therapy – this includes text, images, branding, logos and any other publicity materials.
Code of Ethics and Professional Practice:
· I have both professional indemnity and public liability insurance with Balens.
· I abide by the Code of Ethics and Practice of the GHSC/GHR.
Disclaimers and Liabilities:
· I endeavour to only include accurate and reliable information on my website and in the provision of services and can only be held liable for loss and damage in exceptional circumstances decided upon by an independent adjudicator.
No guarantees:
· I cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results from therapy but will endeavour to respond to all complaints or concerns.
