Sleep & insomnia
How this affects you
In the UK, approximately one in three adults experience insomnia according to The Sleep Charity.
Chronic insomnia, characterised by difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early at least three times a week for over three months, affects about 10–15% of adults This condition can significantly impact daily functioning, mood, and overall well-being.
Over time, poor sleep can affect your mood, increase feelings of stress or anxiety, and make it harder to manage everyday challenges.
By understanding what’s behind your sleep difficulties and learning practical techniques to reset your patterns, it’s possible to build a more restful and restorative relationship with sleep.
How I can help you as a sleep therapist
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) - considered the gold standard treatment as recommended by NICE.
In my approach I combine CBT-I with hypnotherapy. CBT-I addresses the underlying thoughts and behaviours contributing to sleep disturbances, helping individuals develop healthier sleep patterns and improve sleep quality.
We’ll also explore lifestyle and sleep habits. Hypnotherapy will help you relax and embed more deeply the healthy habits we learn during our time together.
